Part 3 · Using the app
The projects board
Each project is a card on one shared board, with its repos around it. The project panel holds everything else.
Projects and repo cards
A project groups the repos and people behind one piece of SR&ED work. Click + New project and a card appears on the board. Its repos sit around it as smaller cards.
- Drag cards to arrange the board.
- Click a project to select it. The panel follows the selected project.
- Double-click a repo card to open its assessments.
- Right-click (or long-press on a phone) for rename, remove and delete.
- Use the dock at the bottom to zoom, or Fit to board to see everything.
Describe the project
Open the menu (☰) at the top right to open the project panel. On its Settings tab, name the project, tick who works on it, and write a few sentences on what you are building and what was hard.
With Jira connected, pick the Jira projects whose tickets back this project. When the project has more than one repo, Jira projects per repo lets each repo read only its own Jira projects (for example the app repo reads APP, the backend reads API). Repos left on All read the whole list. The Repos tab shows each repo's pick under its name; click it to change it.
A good description
"We are building a routing engine that re-plans 10,000 deliveries in under a second. No known method met that speed, so we are testing three graph approaches." Reports stay locked until this is filled in.

Try the sample project
Not ready to use your own data? The sample project has two repos, two people and a finished assessment. It never touches GitHub, and the banner at the top removes it in one click.
